Thomas Becker

Thomas conducts senior executive and board of director searches for major global organizations in the Technology sector. He focuses on Software, Professional Services, Outsourcing, Hardware, Telecommunications, and CIO/CTO placements. He has completed numerous high-profile searches for CEOs, board members, and other top management positions for world-leading corporations and for private equity/venture capital companies. Thomas is also a member of RRA's Digital Transformation practice. Previously, he was country manager for the firm’s German operations.

Recent Client Experience

Thomas’ recent assignments in the Technology Sector had him closely cooperating with management of global and domestic technology companies. He recruited CEOs, board members, CTOs, CIOs, partners in the consulting industry, and sales and marketing leaders. Thomas has been managing the company’s global client relationship with two world leading technology companies for several years.

Previous Experience

Prior to joining Russell Reynolds Associates in 1996, Thomas had a 12-year career with IBM. He held various sales and marketing management positions with the world’s largest computer company, including that of branch manager, financial services, in Frankfurt, and that of director of IBM Deutschland. He had positions entailing national and international responsibility for major financial services clients.

Additional Professional Activities

Thomas is a member of the Association of Executive Search Consultants' (AESC) board of directors in Germany and a member of their European Council.

Education

Thomas studied economics and computer science in Darmstadt and Mainz and graduated as Diplom Betriebswirt. He is fluent in German and English.
