Jacques Sarfatti

Jacques Sarfatti is the Country Manager for Brazil and leads the firm's Basic Industries efforts, globally. Based in São Paulo, Jacques specializes in senior executive search assignments and has conducted a number of high-profile searches for board members, CEOs and directors of leading manufacturing, chemical, petrochemical and natural resources companies. He has extensive experience in Executive Assessment.

Recent Client Experience

Jacques' recent assignments include the placement of board members at multinational firms, general managers for a leading biofuels companies and the execution of an Executive Assessment program for 150 executives of a global steel industry, with headquarters in Brazil. Jacques has also conducted a number of high-profile searches for energy, oil and gas, agribusiness and infrastructure companies.

Previous Experience

Prior to joining Russell Reynolds Associates in 1999, Jacques was with Alcoa Brazil, where he served as Operations Director for the Foundry and Packaging Divisions. Previously, Jacques spent three years with Rheem Metalúrgica, serving as Operations Vice President of the Packaging Division. He began his career with Andersen Consulting (presently Accenture), where he managed consulting assignments for 10 years in the areas of strategic planning, lean manufacturing, organization and information technology for that firm's industrial clients.

Education

Jacques received his B.S. in engineering and his postgraduate degree in marketing from Pontifícia Universidade Católica (PUC-RJ). He received his diploma in business administration from the University of California, Berkeley. He is fluent in Portuguese, English, French and Spanish.
