Jamie Hechinger leads high-profile executive searches for the Nonprofit sector ranging from Foundations, Social Justice and Advocacy, Education Reform, Conservation and Global Development organizations. Jamie focuses primarily on CEO searches, working with Board search committees and senior management to optimize the succession planning process for CEOs and critical leadership positions. She also oversees executive assessments and counsels organizations on board development.
Jamie has led searches for independent, family, community and venture philanthropies. She has worked with the nation's leading human and civil rights organizations. She is a member of the firm’s pioneering Digital Transformation practice and seeks to leverage the nexus of the private, public and nonprofit sectors across the digital evolution that is profoundly transforming the reach, constituency engagement, revenue development and impact of her clients.
Recent Client Experience
Jamie has led CEO searches that have evolved to broad organizational assessments. Jamie recently recruited the President of a large, advocacy organization committed to social justice, the CEO of an international conservation organization as well as the Senior Vice President of International Programs for a renowned global development organization. Some of her recently completed searches include chief executives, chief operating officers, and chief program officers, including thought leaders in the digital realm including mobile health.
Previous Experience
Prior to joining Russell Reynolds Associates, Jamie served as an Associate Director at Atlantic Media, working across The Atlantic Monthly, National Journal and Government Executive publications.
Additional Professional Activities
Jamie serves on the Sidwell Friends School’s Alumni Association Board. She recently served on the Duke University Alumni Admissions Committee and the board of The DC Public Library Foundation.
