Jan Alberdingk Thijm focuses on serving clients in the Consumer Goods, Media and Energy sectors. He has a specific focus on helping clients move through digital transformation and has successfully completed a broad range of assignments for Digital Board members, CEOs, Chief Digital Officers, CTOs, CMOs and other key digital executives. He serves global, European and Dutch clients.
Recent Client Experience
Jan's recent experience includes the appointment of the Head of Digital Marketing for a leading global technology company, the CEO of a leading national media company and the Country Manager of one of the world's most successful internet companies. In addition, he has worked with a large number of energy companies in the oil & gas, power and renewable energy sectors in shaping and creating senior leadership teams.
Previous Experience
Jan has more than twelve years of executive search experience. Prior to his recruiting career, he spent six years in strategy consultancy with Boer & Croon Strategy & Management Group, managing projects for clients in media, consumer goods and industrial companies. He started his career at Royal Dutch/Shell where he held several marketing and sales positions.
Additional Professional Experience
Jan sits on the Board of the Janssens Foundation, a charity foundation that funds sustainable development projects in Africa and South East Asia. He also sits on the Advisory Committee of Nudge.nl, a leading Dutch online platform and community for a greener society.
Education
Jan received his M.Sc. in business economics from the University of Amsterdam. He is fluent in both English and Dutch.
