Elizabeth “Bizzy” Balaraman

Elizabeth “Bizzy” Balaraman is a key member of Russell Reynolds Associates’ Healthcare Sector.

Based in San Francisco, Bizzy works with emerging growth companies across life sciences and digital health on both C-suite and BOD placements. She frequently partners with leading investors, scientific founders and boards on building out leadership teams, as well as advising them throughout their growth on topics of succession, D&I and board evolution.

Bizzy is experienced in recruiting top leaders and independent directors across a range of functional backgrounds (R&D, commercial, business and venture). She is also a member of the firm’s Sustainability Practice and advises clients on ESG-related initiatives.

Prior to joining RRA, Bizzy worked at the Advisory Board Company (now Optum) where she led a consulting team that worked with physician executives to evaluate new and emerging clinical technologies. Previously, Bizzy worked for the CEO of a health system on strategic projects and policy initiatives. She began her career in research at various academic medical centers, where she specialized in cognitive neuroscience.
