Based in New York, Kurt is the Americas leader for the RRA Mentor program, a structured program of performance-led mentoring designed for CEOs and CFOs with leadership development at its core. As a member of the firm's Board and CEO Advisory Partners practice, Kurt has recruited C-suite leaders and board directors to a number of RRA’s largest global clients during his 17 years with the firm. He is also the Founder and Co-Head of the firm’s Global Sustainability Practice, and a highly regarded author on sustainability topics in the boardroom and C-suite; a number of his ground-breaking white papers have been published in the Harvard Law School Forum on Corporate Governance.
Kurt has previously held a number of senior leadership roles within the firm, including Global Head of the Investment Management Practice, and Americas Head of the Financial Services sector. Prior to joining Russell Reynolds Associates, Kurt spent 20 years working within capital markets leadership positions for a number of leading global banks, including Lehman Brothers, Bank of America, and Nomura. Kurt began his career as an Analyst with JP Morgan.
Kurt received his BA in International Relations from the University of Virginia. He earned his Certificate in Sustainable Business from the University of Cambridge, and his Certificate in Sustainable Leadership from the MIT Sloan School of Management. He also earned his Climate Designation from Competent Boards.
